Bike ride through Sunset Beach today was met with high surf + high tide = flooding.

Met with ‘I don’t know what to do in my journal today’ I suggested that a student draw sad sea monsters, and I decided to join him and do the same.

My morning walk usually involves the beach; sometimes I cut through the neighborhood a bit then wind back down along the big sand berm, other days, like today, I walk the the side of the beach on the north of the pier. Lots of cool shells today. And, I saw an old timer do a […]



My students work in journals as part of their class every session, and sometimes I work in mine with them. I did this today, much to their amusement.
